With an eclectic mix of spectators, the show highlights Saskatchewan's home grown talent and the latest looks from the province's favourite boutiques. The crowd will be treated to interpretive and interesting takes on textiles, social issues, fantasy and function in clothing form.

JMC & Wiebe Works Saskatchewan Wearable Art Gala is a night is NOT about “fashion” nor is it about “clothing”, it is all about creating a new approach to what is worn on the body. Artists from around the world submit works of wearable art to be unveiled in a fabulous fashion show setting. What do Art and Fashion have in common?  Just about everything. Art and Fashion have always been pretty good bedfellows. Looking back at the history of both reveals connections and influencing movements in both directions. Art trends affect Fashion trends and vice versa. This year’s Wearable Art Show & Gala celebrates this beautiful marriage. The theme for this year is “Transformation.” In addition artists will submit visual art that speaks to the theme of “Transformation.” These works of art will be carefully curated and screened behind the models as the wearable art pieces come down the runway, revealing how art and fashion influence and act as a power of transformation upon each other.

Hosting the province’s most vibrant and elite fashion events, SFW is a volunteer run organization that promotes and showcases local emerging and established fashion designers, swanky boutiques and the crème de la crème of industry talent.

Recognizing the support of sponsors, suppliers and contributors with each event is vital – without the help of many in the community, SFW could not make these events a reality. Special mention to our SFW event sponsors for their support and contribution to SFW latest festival weekend: Saskatchewan Fashion Association Inc, Jack Millikin Centre, Wiebe Works, Mane Productions, Pro Plus Productions, Cooperators Wiens Insurance, The Delta Bessborough Hotel, Revamp Salon, Edge Agency, Black Paper, Print Baron, and Green Tree Beauty.
