Saskatchewan Fashion Association is the non-profit, member-based organization that represents, promotes and develops the commercial fashion industry of Saskatchewan. We support all industry contributors and do all we can to assist the sector in getting where they’d like to go.

As a member of SFA you will gain access to a fashion sector directory, workshops, marketing and export assistance, networking opportunities and much more. We are a source of information and resources for both the public and the fashion sector. If you have questions about the community in Saskatchewan, we can help.

Our members include fashion designers, photographers, models, hairstylists, makeup artists, and all other industry contributors. We invite you to join us!

#4: Workshops

Our workshop series through our Saskatchewan Fashion Weekend will help develop and expand business knowledge from finance, funding recourses and having small businesses, to marketing, branding, international network and showcases. Educating business professionals focusing on business development in areas such as “How to build an international network”, “Why a cohesive brand is important”, “How to manage your online reputation” and “The importance of communications”; we will also supply recourses to further education and business advancement through recommended organizations, conferences, multiple fashion week networks, colleges, and advanced coaching.

#5: SFA Study Report

The Saskatchewan Fashion Association in partnership with Creative Saskatchewan and Praxis Consulting undertook a comprehensive Fashion Industry viability study to put forth a case to the government to obtain industry funding. Part of the study includes an industry survey that will inform an economic impact assessment of the industry including: Industry research, Canada’s fashion trends, fashion industry in Saskatchewan, Fashion industry economics, feasibility assessment, critical success factors, GAP analysis, industry potential, supply chain demand, research and development, fashion and technology, and more.  

#6: Advertise on Sask Fashion Website

Design and submit your 728x90 size ad ($1500 value) to be placed on our membership page on www.saskfashion.com(traffic during 2020- 17,000+ unique visitors, 2021- 3,000+ unique visitors)

#7: Resource Access 

SFA has built a resource phonebook for all things fashion from industry contacts, business support, fashion incubators, education centers, events, trade shows, and more. You will also receive one page must know from tax to tips from our mentors. 

#8: Access to Member Lounge

Network amongst peers! Provide resources, opportunities, and platforms to showcase the fashion sector to expand their awareness and businesses internationally while amplifying the local economy; event showcase, sales, trade shows, international opportunities, collaboration sessions, and networking opportunities will be available to further advance members portfolios and create meaningful partnership within the global industry.

#9: One to One Career Consultation

Each area within the fashion sector is unique on its own. We will have top industry mentors available to meet and consult with our members. Through these memberships, strong bonds and business structures will develop and increase the vitality of pursuing entrepreneurship within Saskatchewan. Consulting in areas such as business planning, finance, branding, textiles and distribution, online markets, and more.

#10: Marketing

Submit your upcoming news and accolades to us to share through our socials and more! We want to know your successes, and share them with the community! The SFA has already secured editorial features with print and broadcast media promoting the sector. Members will have first priority when selecting talent to feature in editorials and live media hits.

#11: Export and Import Assistance

Creating opportunities and partnerships outside of Saskatchewan. Develop and cultivate partnerships with funding agencies, entrepreneurial organizations, and other associations within and outside of Saskatchewan; We will also strive to develop the import and export of local goods on an international level. In the fast fashion industry, we are committed to ensuring fair trade is a top priority for our members. Providing a network of resources, and partnerships on a global scale to advance accessibility.

#12: Board Member Eligibility

Become a Board Director. Board Director applications will come out every two years. You must be a member to apply. Board Directors then hold voting rights, participate in Strategic governance and oversight, secure adequate resources for the organization to fulfill its mission, Organization strategic planning and monitoring, and make a difference in your community.

Eligibility

Once you are a member, any interested community member or industry representative may submit their name for consideration for nomination to the Nominations Committee of the Saskatchewan Fashion Association. A Nomination Package will be sent to the interested SFA Member. Receipt of completed Candidacy, Nomination and Skills Experience forms by hello@saskfashion.com constitutes a submission for nomination.
