SFA Runway. Never disappointing in the RUNWAY arena, the SFA Runway is a high energy showcase of Saskatchewan made designer wares and curated outfits via local boutiques.
What did the evening entail? Guests enjoyed cocktails with music by In The Mix, while shopping in the SFW Marketplace during reception hour.
Enter the Adam Ballroom to be wow'd by Pro Plus Production and Mane Productions who produced the show along with tunes by international DJ The Gaff, creative visuals by local Saskatchewan artists and dance performances by Dance Ink, Annalise Reinhart, Shonali, and Zoe Pravda. All while taking in Western Canadian Fashion! With an eclectic mix of spectators, the show highlights Saskatchewan's home grown talent and the llatest looks from the province's favourite boutiques. The crowd will be treated to interpretive and interesting takes on textiles, social issues, fantasy and function in clothing form.

To start the evening we had Dance Ink performer, Taylor McJuray. Taylor is an avid dancer who has spent her life training at Dance Ink in Saskatoon. She is now a teacher at Dance Ink and specializes in Jazz, Lyrical & Contemporary. She has won numerous awards as a competitive dancer and has also danced professionally for the Saskatchewan RUSH Electric Crew for the past 4 years. Please give a warm welcome to Taylor McJuray with choreography by Ashley Berns.
Our first collection of the evening was a special feature! Helen Oro!
Helen Oro designs bring a new, unique approach to how indigenous beadwork can worn, seen and felt. Her one of kind statement pieces have been seen around the world in various fashion weeks such as Australia, London, New Zealand, New York and so many more.
Payl is a streewear brand and store based out of Regina, SK. Ranging from Cut & Sew garments made in house to graphic designs screen printed ourselves.
Juniper & Oak Consignments is a locally owned and family operated sustainable boutique. Find unique feminine styles from pre-loved one-of-a-kinds to brand new with tags.
SS River Designs, owned by Christine Tournier, is from St Louis, SK. Her designs are influenced by the French and. Metis culture and heritage of her community.
Annalise Reinhart, a local singer and performing from Saskatoon. They’ve performed all across Saskatchewan with the 2022 SaskExpress summer tour, as well as competed in dance and musical theatre competitions for 10 years. They’re starring as Elsa in the upcoming production of Frozen at Walter Murray Collegiate.
Sarah Jane is a fashion design student. She creates occasion-wear collections and bespoke garments, with special attention to fine hand-sewn details. Her work features upcycling, deconstruction and reconstruction, zero waste design, and the use of fabric scraps.
SpinHeartSpin, owned by Kara Perpelitz, is Saskatchewan born raised and aged. Her passion for the creative started young and was inspired by the many artisan women that came before her. Wool is her favourite medium, due to its texture and the way it takes colour, the possibilities are endless.
Stephanie Grace Gamble is the owner & founder of C.LYSIAS DESIGNS, an indigenous owned fashion and wellness brand from here in Saskatchewan. Her mission is to give back. Her vision is to inspire, create, and provide fashion opportunities. Recently featured in New York Fashion Week, we were so excited to have her hear to showcase her new collection!
Sherri Hrycay of Sova Design has been creating hats for men and women since the early 2000s. She has frequently added clothing to her repertoire and she is proud to present the French Artist Collection in honour of her new found family in the south of France. 100% linen reminiscent of the Provence villages near that region.
We have a special performance for you. Shonali (Sho-na-li), the Bollywood diva of the Prairies. She has been a huge part of the Saskatoon Drag scene for over 5 years and helped create several platforms for drag artists in the city. She is soon be hosting her own weekly drag show at the Hose & Hydrant starting Nov 16. Shonali is known for her great looks, amazing moves, and all the flavours she brings with her every time she hits the stage.

We had a powerful hip hop dance performance piece choreographed and performed by Zoe Pravda, Zoe has been a professional dancer for 17 years. She was a competitive dancer and trained in all genres of dance from ballet, lyrical, jazz, and more, as well as an assistant Dance Teacher at Juliette’s Dance Center. These days her love of hip hop is her focus and honing her skills. Most recently she joined the Venom Dance Team for Saskatchewan Rattlers Basketball Team.
She was excited not only to choreograph a great Wearable Art Show Saturday night, but also to perform a duet both evenings of Saskatchewan Fashion Weekend. Also, Sunday, November 13th, happened to be her 21st birthday!
Collaboration collection by Better Off Duds & Social Made Local! Better Off Duds believes in sequins and second chances. Social Made Local believes in creating spaces where everyone can join the conversation without judgment. Together they create a world where uniqueness is celebrated through a fusion of vintage flavour with a modern twist.
At The Sandbox in the City, they are enthusiastic on making women feel their best. They have created a warm and welcoming environment that is inclusive to everyone to come to get expert style advice and find their confidence through fashion.

Whatever your mood, we've got your socially conscious butt covered! The night’s runway features Saskatchewan's premiere androgynous drag king, Stony Mac!
To close the show Sunday night Melissa Squire Designs! She is a self taught fashion designer whose socially conscious attitude, eco friendly initiatives and community oriented business practices are infectious. Featuring unique pieces from rockabilly dresses and baby clothes to steampunk vests adorned with recycled tire and studs. Her designs have been showcased on runways locally and internationally. She also does couture and custom work, including unique wedding attire. Founder of Alchemy Collective, established in 2010, Melissa built a movement for community, eco friendly initiatives, a push for local support, an incubator for the arts, a demand for change in a society that needs it, and an evolution of the mind, body, and soul.
