Key Points

Diversity in the Fashion Industry

Paula talks about expanding the diversity of who we’re thinking about when choosing models.

“You have to think about who is buying the clothing and who is coming to the fashion shows when considering who is modelling the clothing.

People want to see people who look like them reflected back through imagery and branding.

What Makes a Powerful Model

Paula mentions a few things that make a powerful model. A great attitude, training and gaining knowledge, working well with others, and practice, practice, practice.

She says you may get some criticism, but that is what will help motivate you to work harder. You have to always be willing to learn and grow.
