Lisa Marie is the owner of Edge Professional Model & Actor Management Agency. Unique in their field, as the only models & actor management agency in Saskatchewan, Edge Agency has been in operation for over 25 years.

Since founding the agency, they have promoted models and actors for Feature Films, TV Commercials, Fashion Shows, Print Work with National placement. With over 150 people in their agency, they are a company committed to ensuring proper guidance in order to produce sooner employment.

Community

  • The modelling industry is a community of hairstylists, photographers, and fashion designers, etc. All the different creatives in the industry need each other!

  • Modelling is based on collaboration.

Invest in Yourself

  • Take care of yourself and your mindset. Eat healthy foods, do yoga, workout, but not just for the job, do it for yourself.

  • You have to be strong and tough because this is an industry of rejection.

  • Lisa Marie says, “Rejection is part of this industry. You have to tell yourself ‘I might not get that job today, but I’ll get the next one tomorrow.’”

Commitment

  • You need to be committed to your career in the sense that you are listening to the professionals in the industry.

  • You need to keep your portfolio updated and current.

  • You have to make a financial commitment, just like when you’re a university student paying for classes.

“It's not just about having a beautiful face to make it as a model. Personality and attitude are huge, along with a commitment to the craft and willingness to learn and accept feedback.”
